We are a manufacturing company specializing in the production of high-quality products. Our team of experts is dedicated to delivering top-notch products that meet our clients' needs. With years of experience in the industry, we have perfected our manufacturing processes, ensuring that our products are of the highest quality. At Bellwood - Plating Manufacturing, we pride ourselves on our commitment to excellence, customer satisfaction, and timely delivery of products.
We monitor our plating baths daily to ensure our quality, consistency, and to prevent defects. Our facility houses tanks for parts up to 12’ long, 15” wide x 38’’ deep, which allows us to plate larger parts.
Bellwood Industrial Plating offers RoHS trivalent chromate coatings in clear and yellow and a hexavalent chromate coating in black.
Clear Zinc plating refers to the application of a colorless chromate conversion coating as part of the post plating process. Clear chromate protects the zinc layer, as well as offers protection against corrosion. The clear finish leaves the product’s surface with a silver appearance and/or a slight blue tint.
Benefits of Clear Zinc
Yellow Zinc Plating refers to the application of the yellow dye color to the chromate that is applied after zinc has been deposited onto the surface of the part. Yellow chromate protects the zinc layer, as well as offers protection against corrosion and increases the overall protection of the finish. This finish provides an iridescent appearance with yellow to slight brown tones.
Benefits of Yellow Zinc
Black Zinc Plating refers to the color of the chromate that is applied during the post plating process. The finish leaves the product's surface with a black appearance. Additionally, it is also a good alternative to powder coat for parts with tighter dimensional tolerances.
Benefits of Black Zinc
Zinc plating is the two-part electrolytic process of covering steel with a coating of zinc. This protects the steel from corrosion, even through wear and tear. The zinc coating prevents corrosion of the protected metal by forming a physical barrier against moisture and acting as a sacrificial anode. Protection is measured by salt spray performance. A chromate is then applied over the zinc providing additional corrosion protection. BIP offers clear, yellow, and black chromates.
Barrel: If you are looking for a cost effective, repeatable, and consistent loose piece barrel process, BIP will make sure of it as we engineer every barrel project to the end specification. Our goal with this process is to meet the requirements of our clients in a cost effective and reliable manner.
Rack Plating is a great choice for plating etched sheets, as well as prototype orders to help determine product issues and which finish is right for your application. BIP provides top notch machinery, ensuring that product damage is minimized, resulting in consistent high quality products.
With over fifty years of experience and an extensive knowledge of materials and techniques, BIP will offer you the best service in the industry
